Amundi announced on November 5, 2026 that it had launched a tokenized share class of Amundi Core STOXX Europe 600, one of its flagship European equity index funds. The new class was issued on the public Ethereum blockchain using technology and infrastructure from CACEIS.

Ledger Insights reports that CACEIS acts as transfer agent and tokenization agent and values the fund’s assets at 22.8 billion euros. Amundi says the fund tracks 600 European companies across the large, mid and small capitalization segments. According to Ledger Insights, it is the first large European equity index fund to add a blockchain-based share class.

Amundi said the tokenized class remains fully integrated into the fund’s existing operating model and that the fund stays available through traditional channels. The company described the launch as extending its tokenization work beyond cash management into index investing.

Amundi said it plans to gradually build a range of tokenized funds for institutional clients and digital platforms. It cited possible gains in operational efficiency through process automation, accessibility, settlement speed and transparency. It gave no timeline.

Eligibility rules, minimum investment and pricing for the new class were not stated in the announcement.

The launch follows Amundi’s first tokenized share class, added in November 2025 to its money market fund Amundi Funds Cash EUR, also issued on Ethereum with CACEIS. Ledger Insights reports that Amundi and CACEIS also developed tokenized money market fund share classes for Ant International’s intra-group treasury to move liquidity between Ant entities on-chain. In March, according to the same report, Amundi became delegated investment manager of the Spiko Amundi Overnight Swap Fund, a total return swap product within Spiko’s French SICAV that has gathered roughly $2.5 billion.

Amundi describes itself as Europe’s largest asset manager, with nearly 2.6 trillion euros under management.
